Security & Compliance Official
In order to meet HIPAA administrative compliance, the entity is required to designate a Security and Privacy Official who is responsible for maintaining compliance with the HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules. USHC can provide a Chief Privacy Officer or Chief Security Officer on retainer who can work directly with an administrative manager on a monthly basis to ensure the business is managing its policies, procedures, and privacy programs effectively.
According to the HIPAA Privacy and Security rules, every covered entity is required to have a Privacy Official and a Security Official. Typically, they are sent to a week-long training event. Often, they later leave the practice, clinic or hospital. The provider has then lost the skill set, training dollars, wages and site-specific expertise they possessed. We provide you with a Privacy and Security Official for a fraction of the cost, with expertise, and we won't leave you. Acting as your Compliance Officer, depending on the size of your practice, clinic or hospital, either on-site or remotely, we provide all practices and updates for successful HIPAA Security and Privacy compliance and to attest to the appropriate Meaningful Use Privacy and Security Criteria.
